A heartfelt farewell post by an Indian Railways Traffic Service (IRTS) officer has struck a chord with social media users, shedding light on the unwavering dedication of an unsung hero.

Sanjay Kumar, serving as the Senior Divisional Operations Manager in the Jhansi Division, Madhya Pradesh, paid tribute to Rameshwar, a long-serving staff member in his office, who retired after a career marked by extraordinary commitment and integrity.

In his post shared on X, Kumar recounted an incident that encapsulated Rameshwar’s selflessness and work ethic.

“On his last day, he slept in the office during the chilly winter without anyone knowing, and got up at 5 am to clean the office before his farewell. He never accepted tea from anyone during his entire service. Yes, he is a government employee, and we are indebted to him,” Kumar wrote.

The post garnered widespread praise, with social media users applauding both Rameshwar’s dedication and Kumar’s gesture of public appreciation.

One user described Rameshwar as an “unsung ‘nuts and bolts’ who actually keeps the infrastructure running smoothly.” Another commented, “Rare to find such a personality these days. Best wishes to him.”
