Following the massive backlash, Ranveer Allahbadia issued a public apology, calling his remarks a 'lapse of judgement'.

Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, widely known as BeerBiceps, has found himself at the centre of a major social media storm following controversial remarks made during his appearance on Samay Raina’s show, "India’s Got Latent". His comments, which quickly went viral, have drawn widespread public outrage, prompting severe criticism and potential legal action.

As the controversy gained momentum, a written complaint was filed against Allahbadia, influencer Apoorva Makhija, comedian Samay Raina, and the organisers of "India’s Got Latent". The Mumbai Police confirmed that an inquiry is underway, with DCP Zone 9 Dixit Gedam stating that the matter is being investigated. However, no FIR has been registered yet.

Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken cognisance of the issue and has written to YouTube, raising concerns about the content.

Amid the growing outrage, social media influencer Faizan Ansari made a statement, offering a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone who cut off the YouTuber’s tongue.

“YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has done something so disgusting that if I were there, I would have cut his tongue. I am so ashamed… Anyone across the country who brings me Ranveer Allahbadia’s tongue, I will give a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh," Ansari stated in a video message.

Ansari, who is frequently seen with Bollywood celebrities, previously gained attention for offering a cash reward of Rs 11,000 to an auto-rickshaw driver who helped Saif Ali Khan after he was allegedly injured in a burglary attempt.

Meanwhile, following the massive backlash, Allahbadia issued a public apology, calling his remarks a “lapse of judgement”.

"My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry," he said in a video statement.

He further acknowledged his responsibility as a content creator and stated: "Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform, and obviously this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context, justification, or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here for an apology."

Allahbadia assured his audience that he had asked the makers of the show to remove the insensitive sections from the video and promised to be more mindful in the future.

"I need to use this platform better—that’s been my learning from this whole experience. I promise to just get better. All I can say in the end is I am sorry. I hope you forgive me as a human being."

Despite his apology, the controversy continues to fuel intense debate online.
