German motorcycle manufacturer BMW Motorrad recently added another off-roader to its collection. The F 850 GS Adventure has been launched as a more hardcore option to the standard F 850 GS.
The special edition is available in a special color scheme called the “Style Rallye” package. It features BMW’s iconic blue, red and white color scheme as well as golden wheels and forks. It also gets a larger fuel tank than the standard one, with eight more litres of fuel capacity. This increased fuel capacity promises a range of 550 kilometres, as per company claims. The standard variant and the Adventure trim share the same engine and chassis, but the Adventure trim gets many additional features.
The F 850 GS Adventure gets riding modes, an adjustable windscreen, an LED headlight, a dynamic brake light, a slipper clutch, a luggage carrier for the top case and a comfort seat. It also gets electronic suspension dynamic ESA as an optional equipment item.
The F 850 GS Adventure is powered by an 853CC, twin-cylinder engine which makes 95PS of maximum power and 92Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. With all the upgrades and additional features, the F 850 GS Adventure has a premium of Rs. 2.45 lakh over the standard trim.
