'De Ghuma Ke' lyricist to pen new song for team India

After the success of 'De Ghuma Ke', the ICC World Cup theme song written by him, lyricist and Azamgarh lad Manoj Yadav has a new wish, to pen another song dedicated to team India.

"Along with team India the song proved lucky for me too and now I want to pen another song dedicated to the World cup winning squad," Yadav told PTI over phone.

He said that India winning the Cup after 28 years with the song written by him playing in the background was a dream come true.

"I am lucky that an Indian like me wrote the theme song for the World Cup and India won. This is a big achievement for me," the lyricist said.

"I am so grateful to Shanker-Ehsan-Loy for putting faith in me and giving me a chance to pen the theme song of the biggest international cricket tournament," he said.

Back to his second wish Yadav says, "I want to pen a song for the country which represents prominent figures of all sections and communities. Which reflects the spirit of not only cricket, but other games as well like football and hockey," he said.

"I am working with music director Gulraj Singh on a thanks giving song for team India, which will be released online soon," he added.
