British Prime Minister David Cameron will wear tails after all to next week's royal wedding rather than an ordinary suit.

Earlier this week, a spokesman for Cameron said in response to a question from Reuters that the Eton and Oxford-educated Conservative Prime Minister would be wearing a work suit -- perhaps to save himself from embarrassing captions labelling him as an upper-class "toff" in a time of national austerity.

But a spokesman on Wednesday said Cameron would in fact be wearing the traditional morning suit of black coat with tails to the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29th.

Guests at the ceremony, who will include foreign royalty as well as ordinary members of the public, can choose to wear a uniform, a lounge suit or a morning suit.

"He will be wearing tails," a spokeswoman for Cameron said.

Newspapers have already had their fun with an old image of Cameron wearing tails with contemporaries from Oxford University's exclusive drinking society, the Bullingdon Club.
