Jennifer Lopez's new entry On The Floor knocked Adele off the top of the UK singles chart on Sunday but the young British soul singer is still dominating -- and breaking records with -- album sales.
The Official Charts Company said Adele's "21" and "19" albums clung to the number one and two spots in the longplayer chart, seeing off new entries from X Factor contestant Mary Byrne, indie band Radiohead and US diva Britney Spears.
Adele, whose rendition of ballad "Someone Like You" at the 2011 BRIT awards in February won over a new army of fans, has been at the peak of the album charts for 10 weeks -- a run of success not seen since Dire Strait's "Brothers In Arms" in 1986.
Her second album "21" -- the year's best-selling LP -- racked up more than 250,000 sales this week, enjoying a 65 percent boost in the run-up to Mothering Sunday. "Someone Like You" has also become 2011's top selling single.
J-Lo's single, featuring rapper Pitbull, is her third number one hit, selling more than 130,000 copies this week.
