The Central Vigilance Commission has submitted its annual report to President Pratibha Patil carrying details of inquiries in the multi-crore Commonwealth Games scam and other major initiatives taken in the past year.

The report has been submitted to the President recently and it will be tabled in the Monsoon session of Parliament starting next month as a mandatory obligation before putting it in public domain.

"The report carrying details of all activities by the Commission between January and December last year has been submitted to the President. It will be laid in Parliament," a CVC official said.

The official refused to divulge further details on the content of the report, saying it will be a "breach of Parliament".

According to Section 14 (1) of the CVC Act 2003, "it shall be the duty of the Commission to present annually to the President a report as to the work done by the Commission  within six months of the close of the year under report".

The probity watchdog has been investigating cases of corruption in the conduct of the mega sporting event held here between October 3-14, 2010.

Besides, it has referred several matters of alleged corruption and criminal conspiracy to the CBI for further investigation.

Over 50 works worth several hundred crores carried out by various civic and construction government agencies are being looked into by CVC for alleged financial and managerial irregularities.
