Dayanidhi Maran meets PM, says it was routine

Union Minister and DMK representative Dayanidhi Maran today met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Union Minister and DMK representative Dayanidhi Maran today met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

It was not clear as to what transpired during the meeting which came ahead of the expected reshuffle of the Union Council of Ministers and amidst doubts over his continuance in the Cabinet.

Maran, the Textiles Minister, has recently come under scrutiny over his role in the 2G spectrum issue. He was the Telecom Minister in UPA-1 when the 2G licences were allocated.
