This budget marks Finance Minister Sitharaman’s seventh consecutive presentation, breaking Morarji Desai’s record of six consecutive budgets. She has previously presented six annual budgets and one interim budget in a row.
On February 1, ahead of the 2024 general elections, Sitharaman presented the Interim Budget, outlining the government's comprehensive financial plan. This budget, the first since the Modi-led government was re-elected in June, has generated widespread attention and diverse reactions across the nation.
