A video circulating widely on social media showed a Bengaluru mother taking an unconventional approach to wake up her two daughters, who reportedly had a habit of sleeping late in the morning. The footage, which quickly gained traction online, featured the woman hiring a local band to play music inside her home as a wake-up call.
The clip opened with two men entering the residence—one carrying a dhol and the other a trumpet. Instead of performing at a celebration, they appeared to have been brought in for a very specific task: to rouse the sleeping children. Within moments, they began playing the upbeat devotional tune “Shri Ram Jaanki Baithe Hai” beside the two girls’ beds.
Startled by the loud music, the half-asleep children could be seen briefly peeking from beneath their blankets before pulling them over their heads again, apparently hoping to escape the noise. The moment captured the mother’s inventive method to ensure her children got out of bed.
According to the accompanying captions and context shared online, the mother resorted to this plan after repeated attempts to wake her children had failed. However, Moneycontrol.com could not independently verify the authenticity of the footage.
As the video continued, one of the daughters eventually looked up and asked, “Kya ho raha hai ye (What is happening?)”, a moment that drew laughter across social media.
The post attracted a flood of reactions, with many praising the mother’s creativity. “Bhaisahab, imagine the grandparent,” one user quipped, while another commented, “Mummy dangerous hai.” A third remarked, “Modern problems require modern solutions.”
Others joined in with nostalgic anecdotes about their own childhood experiences. A user wrote, “Meri maa toh bas pankha band kar deti thi.”
