Ubuntu phones coming to India by Aug-end at Rs 11,999

The Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition features a 5 megapixel front camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus, dual flash. It boasts a MediaTek quad-core Cortex A7 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The phone has an internal storage space of 8 GB.

The Aquaris E4.5 and Aquaris E5 are the first two Ubuntu-based handsets that are set to be launched in India. The phones will be exclusively available through Snapdeal by the end of of this month. The Aquaris E4.5 is priced at Rs 11,999, while the Aquaris E5 carries a price tag of Rs 13,499.

The Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition features a 5 megapixel front camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus, dual flash. It boasts a MediaTek quad-core Cortex A7 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The phone has an internal storage space of 8 GB.

The Aquaris E5 Ubuntu Edition comes with a 5-inch display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It sports a 5 megapixel front camera and a 13 megapixel rear camera with BSI sensors.

Both devices will be available in black colour and come fully with dual SIM functionality.
