IT firm LTIMindtree has partnered with IBM Quantum Network on February 28 to explore quantum computing innovation across multiple industries.
LTIMindtree will also collaborate with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras on joint quantum research and workforce development, the company said in a release. IIT Madras houses the IBM Quantum Innovation Center.
LTIMindtree said it aims to nurture a new generation of quantum computing professionals and researchers through the collaborations. To achieve that, the IT services company will initiate applied research toward business and societal problems, quantum computing workshops, and research grants.
"This move is a strategic step toward LTIMindtree helping their customers benefit from the transformative value of quantum computing technologies," the company said.
LTIMindtree's Chief Technology Officer Aan Chauhan said these collaborations will help in solving more complex problems faster and efficiently through quantum computing.
