The Chrome Web Store is an open portal that gives Google Chrome users access to browsing and discovering web applications. However, access to the Chome Web Store was limited to the United States, only, till some time ago. Now, however, Google has announced that the Chrome Web Store has opened up to 24 more countries, including India. Indian Chrome users can use the Web Store to find apps, themes and extensions to enhance their browsing and internet experience.

In order to make the Web Store more useful and relevant at launch, Google's provided a range of applications that have come from Indian developers and publishers. One such app, Saavn, allows users to listen to Indian music. For cricket fans, you have choices including ESPN Cricinfo, which provides updates and the latest developments in the sport, as well as TurboCricket, which allows users to play cricket on the go. People who like a bit of Bollywood in their news have access to the Midday app and news in Hindi can be followed via Jagran.

To access these apps, users need to download Google Chrome and visit the Chrome Web Store.
