Lava has launched its new tablet dubbed the Etab Xtron. A press release states that the tablet is aimed towards the tech-savvy demographic and that the tablet offers features that no other tablet in the same price range does. The Etab Xtron is available online for Rs 6,499.The tablet runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.5GHz Cortex A9 dual-core processor. It has a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024 x 600. While the IPS panel will give the tablet decent viewing angles, the resolution seems rather low, as is expected from a tablet with this price, and the aspect ratio is a bit odd. The tablet has 1GB of RAM to help its performance. As per the press release, the tablet has an aluminium enclosure that the company claims makes it easy to hold. It is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera on its front, which can be used for video calling or taking pictures. The tablet comes with 8GB of internal memory, and it is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It also has Wi-Fi connectivity. All of this is powered by a 3,500mAh battery, which the company quotes can stay alive for up to four hours.
