As part of the email, the Tata Group airline said that its permanent ground staff with over five years of work experience with the airline are eligible to be a part of the VRS scheme.
The drugmaker is offering voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) to all its employees at two sites near Hyderabad, a spokesperson for Sanofi's India unit told Reuters in an email.
A senior executive of SBI said, "The employees opting for VRS is on expected lines. We have estimated about half or 50 percent of the employees taking that option. You can say about 6,000 employees may opt to take it up."
