Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala, in a written reply to the Lok Sabha, said the PMMSY aims to generate 55 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities between 2020-21 and 2024-25.
"While the seafood exports stood at Rs 30,213 crore in 2013-14, the same has increased to Rs 63,969.14 crore during FY 2022-23, an increase of 111.73 per cent in spite of pandemic-imposed challenges in global markets," an official statement said.
A meeting to review the fodder situation in the country was held on November 6, under the chairmanship of Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, with the state governments/ stakeholders.
The MoRTH Ministry added that the conversion, carried out jointly by Rawmatt Techno Solutions & Tomasetto Achille India, will help farmers increase their income by lowering costs and help in creating job opportunities in rural India.
Rs 1,83,000 crore in the financial years 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 which is double the amount of Rs 92,483 crore spent in 2011- 12, 2012-13 and 2013-14.

Claims totalling Rs 15,082.95 had been paid so far under crop insurance schemes for Kharif 2015, according to the data provided by the Minister of State for Agriculture Parshottam Rupala in a written reply in Rajya Sabha.
Earlier this month, the government had announced reduction in retail prices of non-urea fertilisers including DAP by up to Rs 5,000 following drop in global prices of raw materials.
