Bajaj Corp's net sales in the quarter under review stood at Rs 218.37 crore, up 14.29 percent as against Rs 191.06 crore in the same period last year.
With the acquisition, the company aims to strengthen its position in the personal care segment. Bajaj said it will leverage on its distribution strength to grow Nomarks brand.
Nomarks has more than 12 percent market share in the Rs 342 crore anti-marks category and the brand acquisition gives hair oil maker Bajaj Corp an entry into the skin care market.
Ozone Ayurvedics, FMCG arm of Ozone group of companies, is looking to double turnover from its flagship skincare brand, Nomarks, to Rs 130 crore in 2011-12, the group's managing director SC Sehgal said, reports The Economic Times.
