Neeraj Chopra saves his best for the last as he made a season's best throw of 89.49m to take second place in the men's javelin throw at the Lausanne Diamond League He looked like he was struggling for most of the competition. Anderson Peters finished first with a throw of 90.61m.

Before flying to Turkey, 24-year-old Neeraj Chopra also trained at the National Institute of Sport in Patiala, Punjab, with foreign expert Klaus Bartonietz.
