Japanese car manufacturer Nissan targets over three-fold growth in sales in India in 2011, a company official said.
Japanese auto major Nissan today launched mid-size sedan Sunny and said it aims to sell 12,000 units of the new car by the end of this fiscal.
CNBC-TV18’s Swati Khandelwal Jain reports that Nissan Motor India has entered the fast-growing c-segment passenger car market with its sedan – Sunny.
The Indian unit of Japanese carmaker Nissan Motor is aiming to triple sales to 40,000 vehicles by the end of this fiscal year from about 13,000 in fiscal year 2011, Kiminobu Tokuyama, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, said on Wednesday.
Commenting on the new dealership openings, Nissan Motor India's Managing Director & CEO, Kiminobu Tokuyama, said, "we are delighted to bring Nissan to more customers in India through our dealerships in the states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and in Delhi.
