On day one of the Budget session, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) raked up the issue of former Delhi law minister Jitender Singh Tomar‘s fake degrees. Following ruckus in the floor of the House, BJP‘s OP Sharma was marshalled out of the Assembly.
Kejriwal, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, also informed the Lieutenant Governor about his decision to include Delhi Jal Board vice-chairman Kapil Mishra in his cabinet as Law Minister.
Tomar was earlier sent to four days of police custody by a court after Delhi Police arrested him on Tuesday morning for allegedly procuring fake law degree.
The decision was taken in the first cabinet meeting of the AAP government chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
