Union Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed on Tuesday that all three terrorists neutralised during Operation Mahadev were involved in April 22 Pahalgam attack. "In a joint Operation Mahadev, the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police have neutralised three terrorists who were involved in the Pahalgam terror attack," stated Shah addressing the Lok Sabha.
Briefing the House on Operation Mahadev in which three terrorists Suleiman, Faiz-e-Jat (Afghan) and Jibran were killed in a joint operation by J&K police, Indian Army and CRPF, Shah said: “We have proof that Suleiman was involved in the Pahalgam terror attack and other such incidents. All were A-grade terrorists of Lashkar -e-Taiba.” He added all slain terrorists were present in the Pahalgam meadow.
Detailing the identity of the slain terrorists, Shah confirmed: "... In the Operation Mahadev, Suleman alias Faizal..., Afghan and Jibran, these three terrorists were killed in a joint operation of the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police... Suleman was an A-category commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba. Afghan was an A-category Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist. And Jibran was also an A-grade terrorist... All three terrorists who killed our citizens in the Baisaran valley have been eliminated..."
