Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to offer prayers and a puja at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya at about 7:00 p.m later today, May 5. PM Modi will undertake a nearly two-kilometre tour in Ayodhya after asking Ram Lalla, who was ceremoniously enthroned in his presence, for blessings.

The 'Ram Path' tour by PM Modi will start from Sugriva Fort and terminate at Lata Chowk. There are forty blocks along the route. It is anticipated that farmers, ladies dressed in traditional garb, Sindhis, and Punjabis would participate in the event. He will be making his first trip to Ayodhya today since Ram Lalla's "Pran Pratishtha" on January 22 of this year.

The 'Pran Pratishtha' of the idol of Ram Lalla -- the childhood form of Lord Ram -- was attended by people from all walks of life, including representatives of major spiritual and religious sects of the country, representatives of various tribal communities and prominent personalities.

A day after the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 23 said "what we saw" in Ayodhya will be etched in our memories for years to come. In a post on X, Modi shared a video montage of the ceremony in which a new idol of the Ram Lalla was consecrated at the Ayodhya temple.
Ahead of PM Modi’s visit, Acharya Satyendra Das, chief priest of the Ram Temple, said, “Grand preparations are underway ahead of the Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Ayodhya for a darshan of Ram Lalla and a roadshow. Ram Lalla Darshan Marg Gate no 11 has been decorated with flowers. Giant hoardings of the PM have gone up along the road. The roadshow is to hold on a 2-km stretch from Birla Mandir to Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. Platforms have been set up at various points on this stretch as part of the grand reception to the PM. Ram Lalla Darshan Marg has also been decked up.”

Everything is in motion to ensure that Prime Minister Modi has a lavish welcome when he arrives in Ayodhya. Ahead of his visit, security has been stepped up since a large number of devotees have been entering the temple town since the early hours of Sunday.

The Lok Sabha elections are being held across seven phases until June 1, with Ayodhya scheduled to vote in the fifth round on May 20. June 4 is when all seats will have their votes counted.
