India, represented by Consulate General in Shanghai Pratik Mathur, participated in the annual technology symposium of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce, one of the largest and oldest business chambers in Shanghai.

The invitation itself reflected the global recognition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of harnessing AI responsibly, for good, and for all, as articulated in the Paris Summit.

At the event, CG Prateek Mathur highlighted India's vibrant AI startup ecosystem that is driving change in the world's fastest growing major economy, creating opportunities, and revolutionizing diverse sectors such as urban renewal, healthcare, clean energy, and agriculture.

A $3 billion investment in AI infrastructure, the National Quantum Mission, and 25 AI Centres of Excellence are propelling advancements in agriculture, cleantech, space tech, and beyond. The AI for All mission ensures these benefits reach every citizen, preserving our linguistic diversity and powering smart cities.

CG Mathur pointed out that India's vision is bold. With a thriving startup ecosystem, ranked 19th globally with Bengaluru among the world's top 10 startup hubs, India is driving innovation. Over 4,000 AI startups are transforming sectors like healthcare, with solutions like AI - powered diagnostics, and agriculture, where tools assess crop quality instantly. India with its strategic advantage, is not just participating in the AI revolution but shaping it, creating an AI for all that uplifts humanity.

Mathur's message was loud and clear to the audience that Prime Minister Modi's co-chairing of the Paris Summit underscores our leadership in fostering AI for good and for all.

This is the reason why India's commitment to responsible AI shines globally. Mathur also made it clear to the business community in Singapore that India is poised to lead the evolution of AI—from agentic systems to multimodal singularity and, eventually, Artificial General Intelligence.
