Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that India's growth is being driven by its youth, their ambitions, aspirations and they have been the focus in the first 100 days of the government.
“I am happy that this year's summit's theme is linked to the aspirations of India's youth. I have seen the passion of making India Viksit among the youth of the nation. The roadmap of Viksit Bharat by 2047 will inspire and give direction to India's youth and give pace to the country,” PM Modi said during Network 18 Rising Bharat Summit 2025.
He also mentioned that tax exemption till Rs 12 lakh income will benefit the youth of the country.
“We have exempted tax on Rs 12 lakh income, which will benefit young professionals. iNew seats in medical, IIT, is leading to expansion in education, and acceleration in innovation with Atal tinkering labs is happening. Youth will get the opportunity to be future ready,” he said,
PM Modi also reiterated that India will soon become the third largest economy in the world.
“The whole world is looking at India and the hope of the world is linked to India. We have become the fifth largest economy from 11th in very little time. Lot of global challenges came, but India didn't pause and we doubled the size of our economy in a decade. It is certain that India will become the world's third largest economy,” he said.
Additionally, the PM mentioned that the gig economy will be covered under social security.
“Gig economy will be given coverage under social security. Innovation will not be limited, it will now get support. When Youth will move forward, only then India will move forward. Once the youth of the country progresses, the country will progress. These 100 days show that India won't stop, slow and bow. The youth will benefit from all these policy decisions. India will grow with the youth moving ahead,” he said.
