Woman seen wailing inconsolably over husband's dead body in Sultanpur, police later find out she murdered him

A shocking case of murder has emerged from Sultanpur, where a woman has been arrested for killing her husband - after wailing inconsolably over his dead body, seemingly to avoid suspicion.

The incident took place in Kindipur village under the limits of Chanda police. Police found out that on Wednesday night Pooja, the woman, killed Mahesh, her husband, with the help of her lover.

Some reports say that the scene unfolded when Pooja's lover made Mahesh drink alcohol till he was heavily drunk and then called Pooja to the spot - where they together murdered Mahesh, media reports said.

However, some reports also mentioned that Mahesh had found Pooja and her lover in a compromising position and thus both of them decided to finish him off.

Pooja told the police that Mahesh had left home to buy chicken on September 3 and did not return till 2 am, following which, the family searched for him. However, the police was never involved.

When Mahesh's death became open news, Pooja was seen crying inconsolably over his dead body. Videos of Pooja crying have emerged on the internet. However, she was caught after police traced Jaishankar and her using call records and CCTV footage.

Both of them were arrested within 24 hours and have been sent to jail, police confirmed to the media. Further legal proceedings are currently going on.
