Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday said that the state govt will for sure approach the Supreme Court challenging non-release of education funds by Centre.
Stalin on Saturday accused the Centre of halting funds to the state due to "petty political reasons." He while speaking at a book release event, claimed that the Centre has withheld Rs 2,152 crore because Tamil Nadu has not accepted the three-language policy.
Drawing a parallel with the recent Governor case—where the Supreme Court mandated deadlines for the Governor and President to act on Bills—Stalin expressed confidence that Tamil Nadu would also prevail in this matter.
Reiterating the DMK’s long-standing position, Stalin highlighted that the demand to bring education under the State List of the Constitution would continue. If this demand is not met, he warned, the sector might eventually become inaccessible to all.
