Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said Operation Sindoor is not over yet and India will not be deterred by nuclear blackmail.
While addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, PM Modi said, "India will give befitting reply to every terrorist attack. The time, way of reply and terms of the reply will be decided by our Armed Forces themselves. We will strike at time and place of our choice."
Earlier in the day, PM Modi met the family of Pahalgam terror attack victim Shubham Dwivedi at the Kanpur airport. At the rally, he said, "Shubham Dwivedi, the son of Kanpur, was also a victim of the cowardly terror attack in Pahalgam. All of us can understand the anger and pain of our sisters and daughters. However, the entire world saw their anger and pain in form of Operation Sindoor, and we completely destroyed several terror hubs in Pakistan."
Issuing a stern warning to Pakistan, PM Modi said, "It was the valour and courage of our armed forces that forced Pakistan to beg for a ceasefire. I once again salute our brave soldiers. To our enemy, who was pleading during Operation Sindoor, I reiterate: the operation is not over yet. India will no longer be intimidated by nuclear bomb threat nor will it make a decision on that basis."
He further said, "India’s fight against terrorism is guided by three basic points. First, every terror attack will receive a befitting reply, its timing and nature will be decided by our armed forces. Second, India no longer fears Pakistan’s nuclear threats. And third, India views both terror masterminds and the governments that sponsor terrorism through the same lens."
At the event, PM Modi flagged off Kanpur Metro’s new corridor between Chunniganj and Nayaganj. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 15 development projects costing Rs 47,600 crore in Kanpur. UP CM Yogi Adityanath was also present at the rally.
