A spectacular show by the combat jets of the Indian Air Force marked the beginning of Aero India 2025 on Monday. Billed as Asia’s biggest air show, Day 1 of the exhibition saw jaw-dropping manoeuvres by the Indian Air Force's LCA Tejas Mark 1A, multirole fighter aircraft Sukhoi Su-30 MKI and Surya Kiran aerobatic team among others.

The Bengaluru skies came alive as roaring fighter jets performed stunning manoeuvres and enthralled audience. The five-day exhibition that started today will conclude on February 14. Over 900 exhibitors from 75 nations are participating in the show.

Leading from the front, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh took part in the first sortie at Aero India with the iconic Tejas formation. The Air Chief Marshal flew in fighter jet Teja, which has been indigenously developed by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. The multirole fighter aircraft Sukhoi Su-30 MKI was also seen performing breathtaking manoeuvre at the Yelahanka Air Force station.
Some of the other formations that won accolades from the visitors included Shakti formation by all women pilots, and colourful display by Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team. The show will also see US F-35 and Russian Su-57 together for the very first time. Both are fifth generation combat jets.
