Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Wednesday, launched a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accusing the party of promoting “mafia raj” and opposing the construction of temples in Ayodhya and Sitamarhi.
He was speaking at a campaign rally in Bihar’s Siwan ahead of the 2025 Assembly elections.
CM Adityanath said the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar has “zero tolerance” for those creating anarchy and vowed to prevent the return of “jungle raj.”
“Forces are active to revive ‘mafia raj’ in Bihar, but nip them in the bud. All NDA allies have decided to thwart the return of ‘jungle raj’ to Bihar. The double-engine government in Bihar has zero tolerance for those creating anarchy… for the rest, the bulldozer is there,” he said.
The BJP leader accused the RJD and Congress of supporting criminal elements. “Do not allow forces like the RJD and Congress, which embrace criminals, to come to power in Bihar,” he told the crowd, adding that these parties were “habitual of bowing before Aurangzeb’s tomb.”
Hailing the NDA’s development record, Adityanath said, “Before 2005, the slogan used to be ‘Sabka saath, parivaar ka vikas (development for the family, not all)’. The NDA government works on the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, inspired by leaders like Karpoori Thakur, Jagjivan Ram, Rajendra Prasad and Jayaprakash Narayan.”
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also accused the RJD of opposing religious and cultural projects. “They were against the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the Maa Janaki Temple in Sitamarhi. Such parties have no respect for faith or heritage,” he alleged.
He further said that under Home Minister Amit Shah’s leadership, the Centre is working to make India “free from Naxalism by March 2026,” adding that the NDA’s goal is to ensure inclusive development for all sections of society.
