Viral 3D animation of trains crossing mistaken for real footage

June 08, 2025 / 11:09 IST

A visually animated video showing three high-speed trains seamlessly crossing paths at a railway junction has gone viral across social media platforms.

The video, often shared with patriotic captions, has been widely mistaken for real footage showcasing India’s railway capabilites, with some users attributing it to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s leadership. However, the clip is entirely computer-generated.

The animation depicts an elaborate X-shaped junction where three trains pass each other with perfect timing, creating an amazing sequence that appears to highlight a marvel of rail coordination. Many posts claimed the trains were India’s Vande Bharat models.

“Three Vande Bharat trains crossing each other, not possible in any other country. We’re proud of our Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ji," one user posted on X.

However, a closer analysis reveals that the trains are 3D models, not real Vande Bharat trains, and the junction shown does not exist in reality.

Experts and online observers pointed out several animation cues: perfectly looped train paths, smooth and uniform textures, and an exaggerated junction layout.

Since being posted on June 6, the video has garnered over 2.1 million views on X drawing mixed reactions.
