US singer's special wish for BJP's Alinagar candidate Maithili Thakur: 'Little sister....'

Popular African-American actress and singer Mary Millben sang India’s National Anthem on the country’s 76th Republic Day.

American singer and actor Mary Millben wished BJP candidate and folk singer Maithili Thakur for the upcoming Bihar assembly election.

"Little sister @maithilithakur, you stay strong and keep shining! I am proud of you. Your courage to run for the Alinagar Assembly in Bihar is truly admirable. You are a beautiful ambassador for India and the vision of PM @narendramodi. I am praying for you and a big victory," Millben posted on X.

Thakur (25), trained in Indian classical and devotional music, will contest the upcoming Assembly elections from Alinagar constituency in Darbhanga district.

In response to Millben's wishes, Thakur said, "I would like to thank her because, after what I have been going through for the last 10 days, this praise was very much needed..."
