Bengaluru-based EV motorcycle maker Ultraviolette Automotive on September 23 launched its new X47 Crossover electric motorcycle, priced at Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom), with an introductory offer of Rs 2.49 lakh for the first 1,000 bookings.
The X47 delivers a top speed of 145 kmph, a range of 323 km, 40 HP of power, and 610 Nm of torque, and comes with an integrated onboard charger. The bike is backed by an industry-first 800,000 km warranty.
Founded in 2016 by Narayan Subramaniam (CEO) and Niraj Rajmohan (CTO), Ultraviolette is backed by TVS Motor Company and Qualcomm Ventures. The company said it has expanded from one city in Bengaluru to 30 cities and entered international markets including Nepal and 10 European countries.
“With the X47, we are not just competitive but achieving price parity with mid-range motorcycles,” said Subramaniam at the launch event, adding that the model is designed as a crossover for both daily use and long rides.
Ultraviolette first entered the market with the F77 electric sports motorcycle, unveiled in 2019 and commercially launched in late 2022.
In 2023, the company expanded the line-up with special editions and performance upgrades, helping establish Ultraviolette as a premium EV two-wheeler brand before moving towards a wider audience with the X47 crossover.
