Hailing Indian armed forces for Operation Sindoor, Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said action on Pakistan is a matter of pride.
“I congratulate the armed forces for the action they took yesterday and the courage and bravery they showed. Terror camps in Pakistan and PoK have been neutralised, it is a matter of pride for us..." he said. He was speaking at the National Quality Conclave.
Operation Sindoor was executed by Indian Armed forces in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, where multiple terror camps were destroyed.
Singh said the precision with which Operation Sindhoor was executed is “unimaginable, very praiseworthy”.
“Nine terrorist camps were destroyed in it and a large number of terrorists were killed. This operation was carried out without harming any innocent and with minimum collateral damage...,’ said Singh. He said terror bases were destroyed deep inside Pakistan.
He also credited this success to the professionalism and equipment of India’s armed forces. “This was possible because our formidable and professionally trained forces have high-quality equipment," he said.
He also said buying defence equipment cannot be a long-term solution. "If we buy defence equipment from other countries, it means we are outsourcing it and leaving our security in the hands of someone else. This cannot be a long-term solution," he said.
