The Taliban has condemned the Pahalgam terror attack that took place in the Kashmir valley on April 22 and claimed 26 lives. The Taliban said that such an incident undermines the regional security and stability.

The Taliban condemned the attack during a high-level meeting in Kabul, where the Indian side shared specific details about the Pahalgam terror attack.

Anand Prakash, Joint Secretary of the Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran (PAI) Division at India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), held discussions with Afghanistan’s acting Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, reports have said. The meeting between the two was focused on a wide range of bilateral issues, including political relations, trade, transit and regional developments.

Taliban, on Thursday, said that incidents like the Pahalgam terror attack undermine the regional security and stability. Abdul Qahar Balkhi, in a statement, expressed condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in the attack.

The Taliban's comment came amid the strained ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan since the withdrawal of the US from Afghanistan in August 2021.
