Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Thursday that the Ministry is creating a policy for sandbox to test out new ideas. In his address to the CII, Ashwini Vaishnaw said,"Our experiment of bringing startups into the railway sector was very succesful. we are now bringing a new policy where we can test a new innovative idea and then scale it up based on that results of the test."
The minister said that his ministry is inviting every sector that would like to collaborate with Gati Shakti to develop a course curriculum to prepare students for being ready for industry. "Gatishakti Vishwavidyala is focused on transport and logistics sector, we are inviting industry to develop course curriculum," Vaishnaw said.
"Airbus helped us develop the course for aeronautical engineering; they have given us internship commitment. IndiGo and HAL has joined that journey," Vaishnaw further said.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also said that Artificial Intelligence will usher massive transformations across society and various industries as he emphasised the need for every sector to be ready and adapt to these changes. Vaishnaw, who is Minister for Electronics and IT, noted that Artificial Intelligence "is a reality" and "here to stay".
Like internet and electronics have changed the course of societies, AI too will bring humongous changes, he said. "When that change is coming we should stay prepared for that in every sector or industry," Vaishnaw said at the CII Annual Business Summit 2025.
