A special song promoting the benefits of millets has been nominated for the 2022 Grammy Awards under the Best Global Music Performance category. The song, titled "Abundance in Millets," features Indian-American singer Falu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The song is performed by Falguni Shah, popularly known by her stage name Falu, and her husband and singer Gaurav Shah.

The nomination of the song has been welcomed by many, as it highlights the importance of millet in the world's food supply, and promotes its consumption as a healthy alternative. The year 2023 has been designated as the "International Year of Millets," after a proposal for it was brought forward by India and endorsed by the members of the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) governing bodies as well as the 75th Session of the UN General Assembly.

Apart from "Abundance in Millets," other songs nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category include "Shadow Forces" by Arooj Aftab, Vijay Iyer, and Shahzad Ismaily, "Alone" by Burna Boy, "Feel" by Davido, "Milagro Y Disastre" by Silvana Estrada, "Pashto" by Bla Fleck, Edgar Meyer, and Zakir Hussain featuring Rakesh Chaurasia, and "Todo Colores" by Ibrahim Maalouf featuring Cimafunk and Tank and the Bangas.

The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California will host the 2022 Grammy Awards ceremony on January 31, 2022. The event will be hosted by Trevor Noah, a South African comedian and television host. Fans and nominees are eagerly anticipating the announcement of the winners. That's all for now, stay tuned for more updates on the music industry.

Falu had announced earlier this year that she and her husband Gaurav Shah had written a song with Prime Minister Modi. The "Abundance in Millets" track featuring Modi was released in June to celebrate the "International Year of Millets". Created to raise awareness about the super grain as another potential solution to minimizing world hunger, "Abundance in Millets" is a song that Falu was inspired to write after meeting Modi in New Delhi last year. Falu, who won the Grammy Award for Best Children's Album in 2022 for her album "A Colorful World", is committed to using her influence to spread awareness about important issues such as this.

She had said the prime minister had told her that she should write a song with a message on ending hunger during their discussion on the power of music to bring changes and uplift humanity. Falu had said she had very naively asked the prime minister if he would write the song with her and he had agreed.
