Shinde Sena leader threatens victim, pulls out sword during parking dispute: Report

A person belonging to the Shiv Sena faction of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, reportedly got involved in a parking dispute, NDTV has reported.

According to the report, the person first threatened another person over a parking dispute and then pulled out a sword. A video of the internet was allegedly shared online.

According to the NDTV report, the incident took place in Sagar Nagar area of Thane near Mumbai. The accused has been identified as Akash Bhalerao and reportedly heads one of the party units of the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister.

Suraj Hajare, one of his associates, was also reportedly involved in the assault, media reports have said.

The NDTV report said that Bhalerao first threatened the victim and then assaulted him when the argument escalated. This apparently resulted in a head injury, the report said.

The police have taken both Bhalerao and Hajare in custody. Further, they have been taken to Wagle Estate Police Station for further action.
