The Delhi Police confirmed that the man who carried out the car blast near Red Fort was Dr Umar Un Nabi

A body part of a person was discovered about 300 metres from the Delhi blast site -- days after a massive explosion claimed 13 lives and injured several people. A video shows a severed arm found on the top of a shop at the Lajpat Rai Market, which is opposite the Red Fort corridor.

The body part was reportedly taken for forensic examination to support the ongoing probe in the explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday.

Delhi blast a planned conspiracy

The diaries of Delhi blast case accused Dr Umar Nabi and Dr Muzammil, recovered by security agencies, show dates between November 8 to 12 – indicating that the groundwork for such an incident had been laid well in advance, sources told ANI.

According to the sources, the diary also contained the names of about 25 individuals, most of them hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and Faridabad.

An official from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) told NDTV that high-grade explosives were used in Monday’s blast. One of the samples collected from the site is believed to be more powerful than ammonium nitrate, the report added.
