Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it was an emotional moment for him as after years of wait, Lord Ram had finally arrived in Ayodhya.

Addressing the gathering at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it was an emotional moment for him as after years of waiting, Lord Ram finally arrived in Ayodhya.

“Ram Lalla will no longer reside in a tent as this great temple has been consecrated for him,” the PM said. He started his address by saying "Our Ram has arrived today after a wait of centuries." Earlier today, he completed the 'pran pratishtha', or consecration, of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

PM Modi also thanked the judiciary that paved the way for the construction of the temple. "Even after the Constitution came into existence, the legal battle was fought for decades on Lord Ram's existence. I would like to the thank judiciary that delivered justice and Lord Ram's temple was built," Modi said.

In a profound reflection on the historical occasion, Modi said, "The sunrise of January 22 has brought a wonderful glow. It is not a date written on the calendar; it is the origin of a new time cycle." As he celebrated the significance of the day, the Prime Minister encapsulated the spirit of the moment with the evocative phrase, "Sagar se Saryu tak Ram..." symbolising the cultural and spiritual unity echoing from the vast seas to the sacred river Saryu.

Addressing the crowd ahead of PM Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, acknowledged PM Modi's dedication but emphasized the collective responsibility of the citizens. He also added: "I know PM is a tapasvi. But he alone can't do it. Now we too must do our bit."Bhagwat also called for active participation from the people in the nation-building process.

Stating that it was an emotional moment for the entire country, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, while addressing a gathering following the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, said that the temple has been finally built after a 500-year-long wait. “There are some feelings in my heart that I cannot find words to express. Everyone is emotional and happy. On this historic moment, every city and village in the country has turned into Ayodhya,” he added.
