Stepping up his "vote chori " allegations, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said a Brazilian model registered as a voter in Haryana 22 times on at least 10 different booths.
"Who is this lady? What is her name? Where does she come from? But she votes 22 times in Haryana, at 10 different booths, and has multiple names: Seema, Sweety, Saraswati, Rashmi, Vilma... But it turns out she is actually a Brazilian model,” Gandhi said.
He was addressing a press conference at the AICC headquarters in New Delhi. He said he is dropping a “hydrogen bomb”.
The Leader of Opposition also claimed that the BJP’s victory was ensured through “fake votes" and “massive manipulation" of postal ballots.

In the 2024 Haryana election, the BJP won 48 seats and secured a record third term. Meanwhile, the Congress won 37 seats.
According to Gandhi, the theft of 25 lakh votes in Haryana includes 5.21 lakh duplicate voters, 93,174 invalid voters and 19.26 lakh bulk voters. He added that one in eight voters in Haryana electoral list were fake. "We have the word 'H' Files and this is about how an entire state has been stolen. We suspected that this is not happening in individual constituencies, but at the state level and at the national level," he said.
Gandhi accused the Election Commission and BJP of hatching a conspiracy to "convert landslide victory into a loss""I want the young people, GenZ of India to understand this clearly because this is about your future. I am questioning the EC, democractic process in India so I am doing it with 100% proof," Rahul said. "We are pretty sure that a plan was put in motion to convert the Congress’s landslide victory into a loss. Please notice the smile on his (Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini) face and notice the 'vyavastha' that he is talking about."
What does the EC say?
The poll has questioned why the party’s polling agents failed to raise objections during voting.
“If someone allegedly voted more than 200 times in two booths, why was no objection raised by the polling agent of the Congress?" sources told News18.
According to the EC insider, once the voter list was finalised, copies were shared with all political parties for them to raise objections or appeal against any duplicate entries.
