In his first rally for the Delhi Assembly Elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, accusing them of not wanting backward communities and minorities to receive their rightful due.
Gandhi criticized the Aam Aadmi Party, which is part of the opposition INDIA alliance, and urged people to ask Arvind Kejriwal whether he supports reservation for backward communities and the caste census.
People should ask Kejriwal if he wants reservation for the backward, caste census, he said.
Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Modi and Kejriwal for their silence on issues related to backward classes and minorities. He said, Modi, Kejriwal do not want the backward, minorities to get their due.
He pointed out the unequal distribution of resources, which is leaving backward communities deprived.
The Congress leader emphasized that Congress aims for equality and inclusion for the poor and minorities, promising to conduct a caste census and increase the reservation cap if they come to power.
