After Prime Minister Narendra called on the Opposition to raise issues of public interest and rise above "the frustration of defeat", Congress leader Priyanka Gandi Vadra said "raising issues is not drama".
While addressing the media ahead of the beiginning of Parliament's winter session, PM Modi said, "Whoever wants to do drama can do it. There should be delivery here and not drama...the emphasis should be on policy, not slogans."

In response, Gandhi said SIR, and pollution are huge issues. "Let us discuss them. What is the Parliament for? It's not drama. Speaking about and raising issues is not drama. Drama is not allowing democratic discussions about issues that matter to the public..." he said.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh also slammed the PM for consistently avoiding Parliament while simultaneously addressing the nation on the need for Opposition cooperation.
Jairam Ramesh alleged that the PM undermines parliamentary functioning by refusing to engage with the Opposition and blocking discussion on urgent public issues. He said that if the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha do not function smoothly, the responsibility lies entirely with the Prime Minister’s “stubborn refusal” to allow debate.
Accusing the PM of hypocrisy, Ramesh labelled him the “biggest dramabaaz,” arguing that blaming others for drama while suppressing Opposition voices is a clear contradiction. "If Parliament doesn't function smoothly the fault is entirely that of the PM and his stubborn refusal to allow the Opposition to raise issues of urgent public importance. He wants to always have his way without giving the Opposition an opportunity to at least have its say," Ramesh said in a post on X.
