Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a three-day visit to Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam from February 23 to 25, 2025, to launch and inaugurate several significant projects aimed at bolstering healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and investment in these states, said the PMO's office.
Madhya Pradesh: Healthcare and Investment
On February 23, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute in Garha village, Chhatarpur district. This cancer hospital, with an investment exceeding ₹200 crore, is designed to provide free treatment to underprivileged patients and will be equipped with advanced medical technology and specialist doctors.
The following day, February 24, at 10 AM, he will inaugurate the Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal. This two-day event aims to position Madhya Pradesh as a global investment hub, featuring departmental summits and specialized sessions covering sectors such as pharmaceuticals, transport, logistics, industry, skill development, tourism, and MSMEs. The summit will also host international sessions, including conferences with Global South countries and discussions focusing on Latin America and the Caribbean. Exhibitions like the Auto Show, Textile and Fashion Expo, and the "One District-One Product" (ODOP) Village will showcase the state's industrial capabilities and cultural heritage.
Bihar: Agricultural Support and Infrastructure Development
Later on February 24, at approximately 2:15 PM in Bhagalpur, Prime Minister Modi will release the 19th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme, disbursing over ₹21,500 crore to more than 9.7 crore farmers nationwide. This initiative underscores the government's commitment to farmer welfare.
In a significant milestone, he will announce the formation of the 10,000th Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in the country, fulfilling a promise made on February 29, 2020, to promote collective marketing and production among farmers.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Breeds in Motihari, established under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission. This center aims to introduce advanced IVF technology, produce elite indigenous breed animals, and provide training in modern reproductive techniques. He will also inaugurate a Milk Product Plant in Barauni, intended to create an organized market benefiting 3 lakh milk producers.
Infrastructure enhancements include dedicating the doubling of the Warisaliganj–Nawada–Tilaiya rail section, a project worth over ₹526 crore, and the inauguration of the Ismailpur–Rafiganj Road Over Bridge.
Assam: Cultural Engagement and Investment Promotion
On the evening of February 24, at around 6 PM, Prime Minister Modi will attend the Jhumoir Binandini (Mega Jhumoir) 2025 program in Guwahati, a cultural event featuring 8,000 performers.
The following day, February 25, at 10:45 AM, he will inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 in Guwahati. This summit aims to attract investments and showcase Assam's potential in various sectors, furthering economic growth and development in the region.
