The same day, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Alipur–Dichaon Kalan stretch of UER-II, along with new links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, built at a cost of around Rs 5,580 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Sunday inaugurate two major national highway projects worth nearly Rs 11,000 crore in Delhi’s Rohini area, aimed at easing congestion and improving connectivity in the national capital region.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the projects include the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), both developed as part of a comprehensive plan to decongest Delhi.

The 10.1 km Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway, built at a cost of about ₹5,360 crore, will provide multi-modal connectivity to Yashobhoomi, the DMRC Blue and Orange lines, the upcoming Bijwasan railway station, and the Dwarka cluster bus depot. It comprises a 5.9 km stretch from Shiv Murti intersection to Dwarka Sector-21 RUB and a 4.2 km stretch from Dwarka RUB to the Delhi-Haryana border, offering direct connectivity to UER-II.

The Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway (19 km) had earlier been inaugurated by PM Modi in March 2024.

The same day, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Alipur–Dichaon Kalan stretch of UER-II, along with new links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, built at a cost of around Rs 5,580 crore.

The new corridors are expected to reduce traffic on Delhi’s inner and outer Ring Roads and decongest key bottlenecks such as Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and NH-09. The spurs will also provide direct access to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, boost industrial connectivity, cut city traffic, and improve goods movement in the NCR.

“These initiatives reflect Prime Minister Modi's vision of creating world-class infrastructure that enhances ease of living and ensures seamless mobility,” the PMO said in a statement.
