PM Modi is likely to outline key focus areas for policy and development, underlining sectors expected to receive renewed attention in the coming months.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to chair a high-level meeting with the full Council of Ministers today, marking the first such gathering since the launch of Operation Sindoor.

The marathon session, likely to last between three and four hours, comes just days ahead of the first anniversary of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government's third consecutive term, which will be observed on June 9.

The meeting will be attended by all Cabinet ministers, Ministers of State, and those with independent charge, as per a News18 report.

Top bureaucrats, including the Cabinet Secretary, departmental secretaries, and senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), are also anticipated to participate.

This session is aimed at setting the agenda for the remainder of the government's term.

PM Modi is likely to outline key focus areas for policy and development, underlining sectors expected to receive renewed attention in the coming months.

Leaders from BJP’s alliance partners, including the Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Telugu Desam Party, Shiv Sena, Apna Dal (Soneylal), Janata Dal (Secular), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and the Republican Party of India, will also be present.

Key presentations during the meeting are expected to address India’s response to Pakistan following Operation Sindoor in retaliation to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which left 26 civilians dead.

Moreover, the Jal Shakti Ministry is also slated to present updates on the Jal Jeevan Mission, one of the government’s flagship rural water supply schemes.

This meeting follows another major review held on May 20, where PM Modi chaired discussions on revitalising India’s tourism sector. The renewed focus on tourism is seen as a response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which has impacted travel to Jammu and Kashmir. The government is now pushing for initiatives to restore confidence among tourists and boost economic activity in the region.
