Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that he adopted three mantras of life when he first became the chief minister of Gujarat back in 2001.
In a Podcast with Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath, PM Modi said that he pledged to work hard, not be selfish and avoid making intentional mistakes when he first took oath of office.
"When I became the CM, I told people during a speech that I will work hard, not do anything for my own benefit and will never make any mistake on purpose... these are my life mantras. Mistakes can happen. I am a human being, I am not God. But I don't make intentional mistakes," he said.
During the podcast, PM Modi also opened up on his belief system, saying that the principle of "Nation First" is the core driving force behind his actions. He also expressed his willingness to adapt or revise his ideas, if necessary, to remain true to this commitment.
"Idealism is more important ideology. True that politics may not happen without ideology, but idealism is very important," he said.
Earlier, in the trailer released by Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath, who hosts the podcast, PM Modi was seen recalling that in a speech as Gujarat chief minister, he said that mistakes happen and he too can make some. "I am also a human not god," the prime minister said in the trailer.
Sharing the trailer on X, Modi earlier said, "I hope you all enjoy this as much as we enjoyed creating it for you!"
