Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met a delegation of BJP MPs from the SC and ST communities.
The delegation submitted a memorandum concerning the Supreme Court’s recent observation on the "creamy layer" for SCs and STs.
"Reiterated our commitment and resolve for the welfare and empowerment of the SC/ST communities," PM Modi posted on X after meeting the team.
On the meeting, SP MP Awadhesh Prasad said, "Has PM Modi fulfilled the assurance given to the youth of providing 2 cr jobs every year, removing inflation?... I hope for the best"
Recently, the top court said the states must identify "creamy layer" in the Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) and exclude them from quota benefits.
