PM Modi in Lok Sabha: 'Maha Kumbh reflected spirit of rising India'

While addressing  the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Prayagraj's Maha Kumbh  reflected the spirit of rising India.

"I stand here to speak on Prayagraj's Maha Kumbh. I congratulate crores of countrymen because of whom the Maha Kumbh could be organised successfully. Many people contributed to the success of the Maha Kumbh... I thank the people of India, UP and Prayagraj..." said PM Modi.

According to PM Modi, India's new generation connected with Maha Kumbh. "It is embracing traditions and faith with pride," said PM Modi.  "Today, when the entire world is going through challenging times, the grand show of this unity is our great strength. We have always said that unity in diversity is India's speciality and we witnessed this at a grand scale in Prayagraj. Our responsibility is to continue enriching this speciality of unity in diversity."

PM Modi also mentioned the "Pran Pratishtha" at the Ayodha Ram Temple. "... Last year, during the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Temple, we saw how the country was preparing itself for the next 1000 years. This thought was strengthened even more during the Maha Kumbh... The country's collective awakening increased the collective strength..." he said.

He said he emphasised the importance of "Sabka Sath Sab ka Vikas" from the Red Fort. "The entire world saw India's grandeur in the form of Maha Kumbh... We witness a national awakening in the Maha Kumbh, which would inspire new achievements... This also gave a befitting reply to those who doubt our strength.." he said.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared on social media that over 66.21 crore devotees had participated in the sacred bath at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers during the festival.
