India News: 3 dead, 2 injured after falling in under-construction sewer tank in UP

A woman tried to immolate herself by pouring petrol on her body in the tehsil premises of Modinagar in Ghaziabad district, accusing the police of not taking proper action against the man who allegedly raped her, officials said on Saturday.

Three workers died, two were injured after falling into an under-construction sewer tank in Kanpur rural area.

DM Kapil Singh says, “The information that I have received is that someone was building a private septic tank along with their private house. While building the septic tank, four people were involved in cleaning the tank. These people might have entered the septic tank, and some problem might have occurred there, so they were sent to the hospital. I have been informed by the Chief Medical Officer that some of them might have died.”
