PM Modi hails BJP's Milkipur victory, says 'Every section voted for BJP'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its success in the 2025 Delhi elections and the Milkipur by-polls.

Addressing party workers at the BJP headquarters in Delhi, Modi said that voters from every section has voted for the saffron party in large numbers.

"...'Aaj desh tushtikaran nahi BJP ki santushtikaran ki policy ko chun raha hai' (Today, the country is choosing not appeasement but the BJP's policy of satisfaction). Today, alongside Delhi, the BJP has secured victory in Ayodhya's Milkipur. Every section has voted for the BJP in large numbers..." Modi said, as reported by ANI.

Chandrabhanu Paswan, BJP's Milkipur candidate, achieved a remarkable victory, securing the highest margin in the constituency having a sizable population of Dalits, Yadav and Muslims

Paswan defeated SP's Ajit Prasad with an overwhelming margin of 61,710 votes, according to the Election Commission's website.

This was the biggest-ever victory margin in the constituency having a sizable population of Dalits, Yadav and Muslims .

Milkipur was the only seat the BJP lost in Ayodhya district in the 2022 Assembly polls.
